Matthew Heimbach claims an event he attended was not sponsored by the Aryan Terror Brigade even though there are flyers online that say that it was.
On October 4, 2013, the Anti-Defamation League posted a story on it's blog about Matthew Heimbach attending a "White supremacist" event in Kentucky on September 21st which featured a photograph of Heimbach giving what closely resembles a "Seig Heil" salute while standing beneath 2 swastika banners, amongst a crowd also giving "Seig Heil" salutes. On two separate flyers obtained from the host of the events website, the event was billed as a "White Unity" event, to include, "Cross, Life Rune and Swastika lighting" On both flyers the event is listed as hosted by the Aryan Terror Brigade and co-hosted by the NSM, IKA and Knights of the Nordic Order. Today however, the Southern Poverty Law Center picked up on the story with one of it's own. Heimbach took to his Facebook tonight to claim that, "I was invited to the event that was being organized by the IKA and the Nordic Order, ATB was just one other group of folks who were invited." Yeah, they just happened to be there, plus they apparently hosted it.
It is interesting to note that the date of the event was September 21st and also that Heimbach took to his own Facebook on September 22nd to enlist the help of friends in providing him ideas on how to get kerosene out of clothing. Although the post now looks to be scrubbed from his Facebook, we saved some screenshots for you:

Heimbach also lampooned the ADL piece and downplayed his attendance at the event in a separate Facebook post over the weekend as just, "eating BBQ and hanging out with like minded people". So let me get this straight, first you cook the crosses and swastikas, then you eat them? Strange indeed.
